Cookie policy
We use cookies to understand how this site is used and improve it. Analytics only runs if you accept.
Before you choose
Nothing. No analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds that watch you, and no third-party scripts. If you reject, it stays that way and we do not ask again.
If you accept
We load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies so we can tell repeat visits from new ones and see which pages people actually read. It tells us pages, rough country and what kind of device. It does not tell us who you are, and it is never connected to your email address if you have subscribed.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one browser from another | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the session state | 2 years |
| understandagi_consent | This site | Remembers your answer so we stop asking | Until you clear it |
One thing that is not a cookie
If you arrive on a tagged link - from an email, a social post or an advert - your browser holds a note of which campaign it was for the length of your visit, so that if you download something we know what brought you. It is session storage rather than a cookie, it contains no personal information, it is never shared, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.
Changing your mind
Clear this site’s data in your browser and you will be asked again on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, and this site will work exactly as well.
This policy is written for transparency, not as legal advice. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor.
