Editorial standards

How this site is written, sourced, dated and corrected. If we fall short of any of this, tell us and we will fix it.

How the modules work

Each module assumes only the modules before it. Where a module depends on a term, that term is defined in the glossary and linked. Nothing is introduced without being explained.

How we curate

Everything in the reading list has been read before it was listed, and every entry says what it is useful for and who it is written for. We list work we disagree with when it is the best statement of its position.

How we date

Every module carries a visible last-updated date. Where the underlying research has moved, the module is revised rather than left standing with a note.

How we correct

Errors are corrected on the page with a dated note. Teaching something wrong is worse than not teaching it, so corrections take priority over new material.

Who publishes it

Understand AGI is published by Creative Sauce Ltd, which sells artificial intelligence implementation to businesses. The teaching here is independent of that, and where we link to our own commercial work we say so.

Artificial intelligence and this site

We use artificial intelligence tools in research and drafting, in the same way we use a search engine or a spellchecker. Nothing is published unread. Every factual claim is checked against a primary source by a person, and the responsibility for anything wrong on this site is ours, not a tool's.
